Resident Information

Welcome to Woodbury, Minnesota!
The City of Woodbury takes pride in our parks and trails, business community, beautiful residential areas, and, most of all, the many residents who take an active role in city life. We invites you to become involved in the community also. There are numerous opportunities, both through civic organizations and city programs, to meet other residents and participate in events and activities that will make you feel at home here.

The city has prepared a new resident information packet that you can pick up at Woodbury City Hall, 8301 Valley Creek Road, during regular business hours Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  In addition, you also can request a Woodbury City Directory (locally produced phone book).

The city encourages you to subscribe to the InTouch email notification system. You can set up your personal account and choose the topics about which you would like to receive news and brief updates.

New Resident Welcoming Party
New residents who have moved into a new home in Woodbury between Jan. 1, 2018, and Jan. 1, 2019 are invited to attend a New Resident Welcoming Party Thursday, May 2, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the HealthEast Sports Center field house, 4125 Radio Drive. The event is free.

As part of the City Council’s initiative to foster an inclusive and welcoming community, it’s important that new residents know about the services and resources available from the city. This event also is an opportunity for new residents to receive information from non-profits that are impacting the community in a positive way.

Come meet new friends and enjoy a variety of games and activities, including:

  • Multiple inflatables and bounce houses, and other kids’ activities
  • Yard games and a golf activity
  • Trinket giveaways
  • Meet with community non-profit organizations
  • Tour an Xcel Energy Tiny Home
  • Door prize drawing
  • Meet me and other members of the City Council
  • Meet with city staff and learn more about parks and recreation, public safety, development, communications and utility billing
  • Concessions for sale at the HealthEast Sports Center cafe

This event is sponsored by the City of Woodbury, Kraus-Anderson Construction and Xcel Energy.
